來自法國的Audiomeca，從1979年起就已經投入
Hi-end器材製造的行列了。
Audiomeca早期以製造Hi-end LP唱盤與CD唱盤為主力，
時至今日雖然還保留著頂級LP的型錄，
但實際製造的產品則已經轉為CD與DVD等訊源產品。
Mephisto II.X 從外觀看來結構相當紮實，
全機重量有12KG，採上掀式設計,並配備專屬CD鎮。
Mephisto II.X最特殊的部分要算是承盤機構，
於1994年Mister Rene Boonen這位曾經在Philps CDM開發小組
工作10年的加入Audiomeca，
協助開發Audiomeca專屬的承盤系統，
在Mephisto II.X上使用的承盤成稱為
Audiomeca CDM ，就是Boonen的傑作。
穩定的承盤有助於降低Jitter的產生，
從而提高數位訊號讀取的正確性。
Mephisto II.X具備RCA、BNC與AES/EBU數位輸出介面，
並採用外接式電源。
